I've search long and hard for the solution. Here's what happened.

I used ziphone to upgrade my ipod to 1.14 then installed the rbrickr fix as
iphone pc suite told me to. Everything was working fine for awhile. then after
using pc suite to transfer some music to the touch Itunes would not recognize
my ipod:(. It told me it needed to restore. Thats the last resort for me. good thing
is I fixed it without restoring.

solution: this is simple. run the Pc suite or ssh in delete the folder
iTunes_Control it is located in /var/mobile/media.

ounce this folder is deleted restart iTunes it ask you if you would like to set
up your ipod or use a backup. :D

my ipod is back the way it was before the problem and i didn't lose any apps
or themes whatever... I can still us both iTunes and pc suite :)

I searched for hours before I posted this. This site and a few others. I did figure it would be easier to find if it had its own thread apposed to being posted in the middle of some other thread.

lighten up I'm just tying to give back to the community that gave me so much :)
