Just a thread dedicated to find other girls on here to talk to :)
I KNOW I'm not the only one. We can keep it somewhat relevant to iPods and talk about anticipating when Coach, Juicy Couture, etc will come out with iPod Touch cases :P

Hopefully there's some more "girly girls" here who break the misconceptions that people have about girls who like computers/techy stuff ^_^

It happened, I know a few girly girls, that still know some technology, I don't find it weird at all, its their decision to be girly girls and yet like technology.

No there are more of them here, I'd list off screen names, but I'd hate to give them away. Who wants to be hounded all day...


Maybe you might get some more in here if you post No Boys Allowed, or made this some sort of Girls Only club. Just a thought.

You don't sound sexist at all, you make sense :)
It's true. Every girl I see on the subway has an iPod, and of course all girls use the internet, they just generally don't know all *that* much about the products they're using and their potential to be modded :P

Sometimes, people [not just girls, some guys also] get tempted to buy it if some other person has it.
or they have a catchy name and advertisement.
But at the end, their choices are limited.
Unless if they know how to mod, its endless =]

But hey, its not really just technology.
talk about fashion, they do ads that will make it look catchy.
but when they get it, they dont know what to do with it.
Modify[you know...rip,style it more, or whatnot]..and choices are endless :D

Girls love their iPods and their MacBooks, they just don't tend to go on forums to talk about them. I theorize that going to an iPod forum would be like guys going to a hair product forum. It's just not something a majority of us care about that much.

Also, most girls don't care as much as guys about getting the latest and greatest gadget. The iPod touch is relatively new, and most people already have a MP3 player of some sort. My girlfriend has a first generation nano and she feels no need to upgrade. She loves the thing, though. I like teasing her about the fact that she likes naming all her gadgets for some reason: She named her nano "Sampson" ("It told me to name my iPod!" she protests). Heh. I named my iPod touch Delilah, though (for Samson and Delilah). =P

Maybe she'll get a touch eventually, and I'll get her to join. ;)

My opinion. No Offense intended.

I think most girls have way too many things on their mind to get too interested in or passionate about just one thing like this. Also their usually more social and tend not to spend so much time on such an anti-social thing (browsing the net for the newest pieces of tech. and how to mod them.)

I know some girls that play video games but they arent actually gamers. They will play some games but not for hours on end and dont really care as much about their skill level or things like that (not getting too interested in the games) Yet I do know some girls for ex. that can beat any song on any difficulty on guitar hero but im sure arent very good at many other games or even play much else.


Im sure this will change but I think its just how they think and the way they were brought up to think about this sort of thing.

Same idea can also be applied to sports and how you see more guys that are passionate and care more about their team or favorite sport than most woman. But we've seen that change more over the years as well, technology will catch up.

Well, I'm a girl, but I wouldn't say I'm a real girly girl. I like girly stuff (bright pink, cute little animals, etc.) but I'm not really into all those fancy bags and whatnot.

Im a girly girl and I love anything that has to do with a computer, ipod games and expecially xbox. I enjoy learning new ways to personalize my things to reflect more of my personality. I just wish there were more girls on here so that we can all get together and make some cool girl things after all, us girls need cute things too.....lol:)

haha wow, i actually offered to mod and jailbreak a few of the girls at my school ipod touches, only one said yes, the other were like its useless, i dont need it, i only use my ipod when i work out. My opinion is if thats all you use your ipod touch for you dont deserve one, or need one, they just have them because there "in style" haha.

I'm a girl too :) You're not alone. I'm not pasty or anything! I get up every morning and work my butt out. I admit I was a bit of a tom-boy before I got married. But not so much anymore... I might even start liking the color pink sometime soon, here. Who knows?
I love my touch... I haven't gotten in to writing applications for it, yet, which I can't really explain. I guess I spend my whole day programming every day... (I'm a computer science student starting grad school at Carnegie Mellon next fall)... When I come home, I like to nurture my creative/artistic side for a while ;)
