Ok, i've seen alot of 2.0 threads that got locked, i don't think this is like those...

1. I have the firmware and AM NOT giving it away or even the link

2. If i restore, supposedly if i turn Internet off and use ziphone to boot in normal mode, it will work?

3. Can i still downgrade?

4. And should i just wait for pwnage to come out?

well with ziphone I hit fix nvram first, then jailbroke it. then it was still in pink skin so I let it sit a while and restarted it a couple times and it eventually went to normal screen, took like 10min. had internet off the whole time. Also I used ziphone 2.6b

how come when i hit option and chose the 2.0 file it says a error was occured???

do i have to be in recovery mode or dfu mode and also im using a iphone so i have to click the do it all thing because i didnt reigster it with itunes because its unlocked

yes it has itunes store. and I looked at the firmwarer and it has the appstore, just not activated. Just like it was in firmwares 1.1.3/4. So proly another .plist change can keep you from buying the appstore.

how do i upload

Ok, even though many think soft upgrades are useless, I feel different, I am in the process of making 1 and it hopefully will be up tonight. It will be a mobile soft upgrade that you will do from a jailbroken 1.1.3/4, mabye even a jailbroken 1.1.1/2 but havent tested that yet to a jailbroken 2.0, now Installer.app may not work so this is why I need testers before I release. If you want to be a tester and have an ipod touch that is a jailbroken 1.1.1 to 1.1.4, please pm me thanks.

That means that its not the one being released in june, and its not ready. They took out the itunes store and app store because there was no point for them to be there right now. if you put this on your device using Xcode (iPhone SDK) you will have to log in as an iphone developer (aka: you have to pay). I don't know if this works with other software, but it's worth a try.

now that the pwnage tool is out, how do I go about installing it on my ipod touch?

you CANNOT unlock the 2.0 firmware with any current tool apart from the pwnage tool which at the moment is only out for mac. The reason you cant unlock it is because there is a new baseband in the firmeware which cant be unlock by the methods used in ziphone ect.
