Okay, the other day I was messing around on my iPhone, when I double tapped safari, and it disappeared, yes, disappeared. It was did the same action as when you delete a webclip, and the same when thing when you double tap the empty space as if you was adding a new webclip.

I found this very strange and thought it might just be some bug, I still think it could be, as I did a restore and it wouldn't work, but when I restored my backup, it worked again. But, now I stupidly set it up as a new iPhone rather than restoring, and now it doesn't work. :(

But yeah, what do you guys think this is?

And sorry if I haven't explained it well, it is very late here and I'm tired.

Probably a bug or something you downloaded?
Also, iTouch Owner owns an iPhone. Ironic.

That means that you have any one of a number of extended/advanced preferences installed and have the App Reveal feature set to true, or on.

One time I deleted an App and the icon stayed there, but I coulnīt open the App.

In that case I SSHd into my iPod and found the file still there.

IDK how to so it in reverse, all I can suggest is SSH and see if the Safari icon is still there in the app folder.

Listen to Skylar, it's called AppReveal, it's a feature on advanced preferences.

Not a glitch. Not by Apple
It's on installer, it's called Advanced (or Extended) Preferences

I looked around and so far it's only apps that haven't been installed by Installer, or apps that don't involve any frameworks or external links.

For example, you can use PocketTouch simply by dragging the .app to the Applications folder. You can hide and unhide this. If you try and hide Mail that you installed via Installer, or had normally, it still has many framework to connect to, and cannot be hidden with AppReveal.

It can be hidden in BossPrefs, HidePod, etc however. Just not AppReveal, which is more convenient.

that is incorrect
if you edit the plist of the app u can add the attributes of appreveal into it

No, it's built into the ipod, if you know what you are doing you can activate it using plist editing, Jobs used this in the keynote that he introduced the touch in.

When i installed advanced prefs there was a number in the corner where the battery image used to be. How do i change it back to a battery?

You turned on battery percentiles I think. In advanced prefs, turn it off.
