Place the TKO.app into /Applications

HOLY CRAP.

THIS IS MY FAVORITE GAME OF ALL TIME.

The console/arcade version is called Taiko Drum Master. (太鼓の達人Taiko no Tastujin)

You hit the middle of the drum for a red note, and the edge for a blue one.
It's actually very challenging. Everyone I know finds it much harder than DDR.

I love Tiko Drum Master. I'm testing this out right now.

Let me know if it works as I'm trying to get it working but nothing is happening, it just comes up with the background of which I presume is the main menu, then nothing else and crashes.

There's something wrong with rapidshare. It says enter all letters having a CAT below. I don't understand what that means?

Look at each letter/number. Then each letter/number which has a Cat on it (as in the animal) type that letter, there should be 4 of them.

I saw this and I already knew that this was one of those apps that would get old very quickly.

I can't get into my WinSCP at the moment it's being stupid, but if I remember rightly, looking at the songs when put into the folder, look at how they are set out, possibly sort that out?

Right, to make this work (The way I did it) was to:

Put the files into the right folders like you would do normally.
Use WinSCP (which is what I used) to do this.

Then go back to the 2 folders you've put in (you'll have to do it either by finding them again, or doing it whilst you put the folders in the right part)

Right click the folder;
Select Properties,
Make sure you Permissions are 755 and make sure that "Set Group, Owner and permissions recursively" is ticked, then click okay.

Close WinSCP.
Shut down your iPod.

Start it back up.
Open up TKO and you should now see
"Start"
Tap it and then away you go.

Hope that helped.

Try this:

Go to the folder with the songs in it. Take out the gaps in the songs between the Name and .mp3.

guy: It's pretty much tap tap with Japanese songs and a Super Mario song. It's okay, just a bit annoying with the tracks having the drum over the top as your not making the sound.

Oops, forgot another thing. You have to delete the blank spaces in the Music (Daemon .mp3) and Tap filenames.

ok, so I got it onto my ipod, and refreshed. but there is no tko icon on the sprngboard. If i go into mobile finder, i can launch apps from double clicking the app itself, but when i click the tko.app folder, nothing happens. Any thing i can do about this? I'm on 1.1.1 and am using cuteftp for transerring the apps. This has work many a time with other apps. Thanks in advance.

Because this is a popular arcade game in Hong Kong, Taiwan and China. However, the game is only available in Japanese and obviously the songs as well.

ZOMG TAIKO DRUM MASTER!!! I used to play that game all the time *plugs in iPod*

this game was very good for ds since you could use two styli to drum on the DS pad. Some of the songs were challenging. Hopefully this port will be pretty good too.

This is a great ttr skin. The app is ttr with less features. If you really want it, replace the image files in ttr with theese, and add the songs to the ttr music/tap folder. Everything works perfectly. Still a very great skin although its not worth adding a new app just for a nuetered TTR with a new skin.

I swear i'm not a tard; i've gone through everything on here, it's in both the Media folders, the perms are right, the file names have the spaces deleted...still, i load the app and it's blank and boots me back after a bit.

What to do? i have the version from the original rapidshare; think it's busted?

Oh, yes - on 1.1.4. I even had to recover and re-jailbreak recently (damn you, eternal refresh of death) and this game still does not function when copying it back and re-setting all the permissions.

i couldn't make it to work either at first but reading all of the helpfull posts in this thread, here's what made me get it work:
TKO folder should be in the private/var/root/media
check "set group, owner, and permissions..."
make sure permission is set to 755
make sure the tap file has no spaces in them and they are the of the same file name as their corresponding .mp3

actually i had to set all permissions to 0777....0755 didnt work for me
