Okay, you guys know how supposedly nostradomas was predicting stuff? People say that we should try to avoid this stuff from happening it. Now my question is if it is a prediction or a prophecy wouldn't it happen no matter what? Anyone every read Oedipus? he tried to avoid his fate but in the end it happened he killed his father and married his mother.
Great! Interesting topic. I have not read that book, but I am a firm believer that the future can be altered. In fact, by posting this message, you altered the future of millions of people. Think about it.... Butterfly effect to the extreme... :)

Makes sense, but we all have destined lifes with a goal, for all we know I was destined to make this topic from the begining, maybe affecting many lifes.

Some people believe this. Here is my argument... If it is all written already, then who wrote it, and controlled you to post this thread? God? Now we could go on forever...... :)

Umm tricky question maybe God did tell me to post about this. I feel as if this whole universe is controlled whether it seems liek it or not. See their are things that science cannot explain and most likely will never explain. Such as we only use 10% of our brain. I think that some where in our brains are the guildlines for our souls and many other things which we can never figure out. When we dream and we can't remember what we dreamed I think that we have just seen some unknown information. I believe before einstein died he was researching what de ja vu is and he said that when u meet your other self and time fold on it self u have de ja vu. Sorta like this your other self has already seen this thing and u happen to get a glimpse of it causing dde ja vu? perhaps?
Lol, we are going everywhere with this now. :) I too believe in more than what science can explain to us. Deja-vu, God, souls, time travel, destiny. But I also feel that as humans, we have to take reponsibility for our lives. It is too easy to sit back and think that some higher power will take control of everything for you. It is also a good excuse for everything that happens. I don't believe that God made you post this message, I believe that YOU posted this thread, affecting millions of lives, all on your own. But that is just my belief. How old are you? If you like this stuff, there are many classes you could take to discuss it with others. Also, a book you might like is "The Celestine Prophecy" by James Redfield.

umm, am 15 years old. Umm, you take me by surprise. Anyways me and u are on the same page. What about on the topic of the end of the world things such as the mayan calendar and what not. I personally think that it is all a hoax all they some argue that at 2012 humans will gain new senses and we will enter a new age, I believe that is what it is called

There are many 2012 theories floating around right now. But I am 32 years old and I have seen a few of them already... 1984, 1990, 1997, 2000, 2004, 2007, and now 2012. It is almost always the same story, and quoted from the same texts. Just like the bible, nostradamus's work can be translated, and changed to anything you really want to hear. When I was 15, I was also interested in this stuff, and if you talk to lots of people, you will find, you are not the only one. I didn't have the internet when I was 15, so there weren't online places to discuss this stuff. Do some google searches, find some chat rooms. I find Einstein to be one of the most fascinating people to walk the earth. Not many people know that he was a very spiritual person, but he was against organized religion. Look at some of his quotes.... amazing man....

Yea, I liked einstein also it a shame that all great man die. Another thing that bugs me is this whole immigration issue in America. If I'm not losing it I though that the world was owned by man in all. Things such as this really bug me. Even in the Bible it states that you should welcome people into your land and the government is completely throwning the Bible away.

Sorry, I have to disagree on this issue. We need organization. If we lived our lives based on the bible, it would not be very civilized. Look at humanities past. Religion is one of, if not, the biggest cause of war in our history. Again, just my opinion. (You will also find, that some people are very closed minded, and don't like to discuss this stuff)

Well yes their are certan limitations am not saying go ahead and let everyone in but lessen up if someone sneaks in kick their whole immediate family out so they don't run aroudn yelling about split up families, of course there would be limitations on that. Also yes we need organization. But yea since u don't like discussing this I won't go any further since that is disrepectul and ignoring ur wishes.

yeah. i belive in the 2012 theories. i dont know why, but i just find that so intersting. supposedly aliens are also supposed to come. and zombiez? i just find that the 2012 stuff is wierd, stupid, but also very intersting all at the same time. the real thing that actually will happen on 2012 is something that happens every 25000 years. im not sure if that is the right amount of years but thats how i remember it. theres going to be a polar switch thing. the north and south polarities are supposed to switch. i dont know what this will do but it sounds interesting.

yeah, i really shouldnt get started on this topic. When i talk time travel/Future stuff it never ends well. A friend of mine and i used to spend hours getting high and talking about time travel, alternate realities and the multiverse. But what i have come to believe now is the self fulfilling prophecy idea. The general idea behind it is that while "time travel" may be possible, you cant change anything. By going back in time to alter your reality you will find that it has already been done. If it is one day possible then you have already gone back and changed your life. Everything that can be changed has already been changed. Its kinda hard to grasp but ill leave you guys with some references. If any of you have ever watched red vs blue you will understand what i mean. When one of the characters starts going back in time to fix the things that went wrong, he finds that these things only went wrong in the first place cause he went back to fix them. Also there is an episode of Stargate SG-1, were they use the gate and accidentally travel through time and live out an entire self fulfilling prophecy.

Ah time traveling, my guess is that only wormholes will provide us humans with a time traveling solution. Wormholes amaze me alot plus it would be nice to see if hey can take u to a different galaxy, or if u just come out in some random persons shower lol.

Would it be correct to say that, we as humans, are bound by the limits that dub itself "man"? Would it be possible for humans to achieve self propelled flight, would it be possible to travel through time itself? Nonetheless humans have been captivated by the idea of being different, extraordinary, races between men to achieve greatness spans the ever so large pages of time. Were we to go back, we would disrupt the sole foundations of the society we are surviving in today. I for one, am curious and seeking to learn more about such ideas, deemed as impossible and outrageous by others. However, why must men dream when we cannot even harness our surrounding environments. We cannot prevent global warming, we cannot prevent plagues, we cannot prevent natural disasters (hence the name), therefore I ask what can we do?
We may be limited as humans, but our imaginations are not so limited.
As what we experience is just electrical impulses from various senses in our bodies then isn't 'virtual reality' (were electrical impulses move around a computer before they reach our brain) just as real as 'real life'.
Thus, what is the difference between doing something imaginatively, and doing it for real?
Not my idea b.t.w. I stole it from a blog I read ages ago... They probably explained it much better than I did.
oh ffs this will go forever so lets leave it at atheism FTW lol
