well i have been wanting to figure this out for about an hour and actually it only takes about 1-2 minutes!! all you have to do is unplug your wireless router and plug it back in, your ip address will be reset and you can now download without that wait for a new download! this will also work with any other download site! enjoi!!:D:D

Well by the time you reconnect to the internet and obtained an IP, the net gain won't be too large.

At least you're thinking...

actually my waiting time is about 85 minutes so reconnecting is very very helpful for me.

Oh, I did not realize wait times were that high in some cases.

Sometimes this works, sometimes it doesn't. Some ISPs give you a 'persistent IP' which is not a static IP, but if you unplug your router the IP address won't change, it only ever changes if the ISP wants to change it.

the ip address stays the same but, the internal cache or something resets and allows you start a new download with no wait. whatever it is, i like being able to do it!:D

Hate to break it to you, but theres no 'internal cache' that could do this :p

But if your ISP gives you a new IP whenever you plug in your router then its a good trick :)

There is a EASIER and FASTER way

If you want to bypass the 1 hour download thing at rapid share than use this process:

Open command promt by typing cmd in RUn option of your windows.

Then in that black command window type the following:

@echo off
echo ipconfig /flushdns
ipconfig /flushdns
echo ipconfig /release
ipconfig /release
echo ipconfig /renew
ipconfig /renew
exit

Thats it and this will clear everything and you can downlaod continously on rapidshare.:)

Or spend money and get a premium. Or use a free way of downloading illegally.

I did that for a while, but just got sick of it. Forked out $10 USD to get a month premium, best online purchase ever. I'm downloading movies like crazy. Burning them in no time. I'd say just get premium.

This won't work for everyone.
