That's not a problem, Rapidshare has always been a temporary depot for this kind of files, as soon as they receive a complain about it they take it out - as simple as that.

I just hope calendar app can be patched so you can add events on the fly
veryniceipod

Yeah, does anyone know if you can add contacts on the fly or are they read only just like the calendar app?
AlexCPU
09-15-2007, 12:45 PM
from what i've read on the apple site:
"And iPod touch features a touchscreen QWERTY keyboard perfect for browsing the web in Safari, searching for videos on YouTube, finding music on the iTunes Wi-Fi Music Store, or adding new contacts."
I guess so
iPod touch features (http://www.apple.com/ipodtouch/features.html?feature=multitouch)
veryniceipod
09-15-2007, 12:48 PM
Oh thanks Alex, i must have missed it on Apple's site. I'm surprised that they don't let you add events into iCal on the touch... sort of stupid.
AlexCPU
09-15-2007, 12:49 PM
my biggest worry, is even if we copy over the iCal from the iPhone so that we can (probably) add events directly on the touch, will iTunes let you sync them back to the pc/mac?
veryniceipod
09-15-2007, 01:01 PM
Well i would think so if the one on the touch is the same as the one on the iPhone with less features, unless iTunes checks to see if its the right iCal that shipped originally with the touch. If anyone has tried it, please post your results here!
AlexCPU
09-15-2007, 01:03 PM
well that depends, personally I'd go something like:
- Oh look user plugged in iPod Touch
- lets sync stuff
this doesn't mean that they need to check what's been added to the Calendar, because technically nothing can be added?
veryniceipod
09-15-2007, 01:07 PM
That's true. Unless someone writes an app that goes on your computer that manually sync's them separately?
AlexCPU
09-15-2007, 03:04 PM
I don't see that an app that does it manually is necessarily out of the question, guess we'll have to see if we need it when the time comes.
My pre-order with amazon (UK) should arrive around 25-26th, I can hardly wait

ok, so basically, we have to wait for a way to hack the itouch? How does that work, do you put something on the itouch and than the apps will be able to be installed or something? I'm a little lost. Plus, will this mess anything up on the Itouch, because I don't want it to break or get a virus.

Ehh?? The apps does not use more than a few of MB
In Denmark some stores have the Touch, but I think that is only in Copenhagen and some other big cities. However, the Europans stores (including DK & UK Store) have changed the shipping date to 'within 7-10 days'. I just hope some stores have it tomorrow :)
And I don't think I'll jailbreak it; only if the EU or Danish laws says that it's illegal to remove warranty in a situation, when you've used jailbreaking. Is it legal, that Apple removes the warranty?
