Back in January, many of us shelled out the $20 to get the January Software upgrade. Apple then announced that the App Store would be an additional $10. Ok, fine, whatever. But now they say that the $10 for the App Store will include the January Software upgrade. What?

Apple, you're really going to go through this whole debacle again and hose the early adopters once more? Apple, please, just PLEASE realise that those who give you more money are your dedicated customers. Those who jumped at the bit to get that app pack back in January are your loyals. Try not to screw them over for once, eh?

Now I regret screwing 20 dollars on it. I could of just had it on my iPod with the jailbreak and then purchased it with the 2.0 upgrade.

It's confirmed. The firmware has the January App Pack built-in.

If you want to be all legit thats totally cool, but if you didn't know about jailbreaking and your on a website thats main purpose is the jailbreak, come on! free for me since I sold my touch a few weeks ago and got a iphone.

sorry if you purchased it back then, but hey, we all had the ability to get the january upgrade free through jailbreak, so i'm not fussed. but $20 WAS a ridiculous price for what it was, regardless for how easily you (or your mommy/daddy) can fork over that amount.

$9.95 for 2.0 with those apps is a much better and fairer price for what it's giving.

I can't believe you people are actually surprised by this, of course the new update was going to include everything, wasn't that obvious already when they released the january update. What I understand even less is that people actually paid 20$ for something that was so obviously going to become standard content in the near future, especially since the updates were easily available in installer.

i'm offended by that. for me, $20 can feed me for a few days as a working student living on my own. so yes, i will be missing my $20, which could've easily not been spent had i known i was going to be charged for it twice.

You can be loyal and bitch about it. Being loyal doesn't mean that you become a zombie or a sheep. You can like and be loyal to Apple, but that doesn't mean that you have to swallow of all their shit.

If you worked, you would know that it is difficult to earn money. There are people who work to get their own things and I don't see why we should give away 20 dollars to Apple.

we had the jan upgrade since january. i'm sure u had plenty of fun with youtube and other crap, so just cut ur losses and move on. im sure everything here is well worth our money regardless.
