Truveo is an application similar to the existing Youtube App. There really isn't much to describe about the application except you can view videos.

One of the features I liked was the different categories. It has News, Sports, and Music by default but it includes several others (Pictured). Personally, I enjoy watching the News and Sports section. The primary videos in the News and sports section come from CNN, and NBC Olympics, Music comes from Youtube.

This app also adds a "Family filter" in the Settings menu. Now why would they have that? Well this is because this application also gives access to Adult content. This isn’t necessarily good because your child can have access to this. What is lacking from this app is a pass code.

Unfortunately I was rather disappointed with the application because most of the videos come from Youtube, so downloading this application did not bring any new videos from other well respected sites.

I would not recommend this application if you just enjoy watching videos from Youtube or other video sites such as Metacafé. This app does not support other sites and mainly pulls videos from Youtube.

However I would recommend this application if you like to view videos like the News or Sports. Most of these videos are updated constantly.

I give this application 4 out of 5 Stars.

Nice review, but I am missing a point (maybe I just didn't see it it): You can't open youtube videos with truveo, thats pretty annoying. You can open dailymotion I think...

I was able to open youtube videos as well, there were very few videos from other sites tho.

dunno if it's just me, but there is no adult content to be found.

EDIT: just kidding, forgot to turn the filter off

Hey, all :) . Well awhile ago I got my iPod touch upgraded to the latest (2.2) & I love it of the many new and great features that come with v2 upgrade. So, now I got Truveo on my iPod, but I see nowere of the family filter or some of the stuff in the images above. I got Truveo directly on my iPod touch. So, what's the problem? What did I do wrong? Please help. Thank you :) .

P.S.

Also, I'm doing my iPod the normal way (no hacks ;) ).

I got the latest truveo . And family filter is still there in the settings. But does not seem to work. Apple should stop being so gay
As this app is free anyway could someone give me a link to version 1.0.0

Thanks
