>I always put mine on sleep because restarting it drains the battery by 20%.
>You can't in iTunes.
>about 5 hours or so.
>iTunes store or if you want to be illegal: LimeWire, SoulSeek, bitTorrent, etc.

Edit: Yahoo! messenger: Not that I know of. Search for it.

Having had many PDA's over the years, I new that I needed to protect my iPod Touch with a screen protection before I every used it. it is the only way to not scratch the screen.

I find the screen to be pretty much scratch proof.

ipod touch will give you 5 hours of video with wifi turned off. but if its on, especially if your using safari, it will not last 5 hours.
the browser based messengers drain your battery soooooo quickly. trust me on this one, I tried it.

Try iphone.beejive.com for messengers.

My iPod was only scratched on the back chrome but now I have an invisible shield on it and it's great - absolutely no scratches.

I've never taken the screen protector off the screen since I bought it. I just got a craft knife and sliced off the peel tab and sliced a circle out for the home button. I bought a screen protector when I first bought my iTouch so they both arrived through the post at the same time but noticed that there was no need for one as it came with one.

**EDIT**

I'm talking about the poll question by the way.

Same did I... but a few days ago i decided to take the protection off and i it is ok. since then it hasn't got any scratch. so you can be sure that it will not scratch. i kept the protection surface a month :P

The screen is essentially scratch proof, (check out the ipod touch scratch test on youtube) but theres nothing wrong with an invisible screen protector.
