This app is very helpful. It has a plain and simple layout, but it is very efficient in instant messaging people. I wish it could have had a more elegant design, but it is still very good, I enjoy using it. My instant messages come in clearly, and they are easy to send in receive. Also this application is free, so it is no problem to download it. There isn't really anything else to explain, it is just a nice simple application, and if you enjoy AIM messaging, then you should download this. It seems to take awhile to update who is online. For example the pic below:

and the first picture under screenshots were taken at the same time, the one above is on ichat, and the one under screenshots is from the AIM ipod application, which shows a huge difference in online buddies.

Thank you, and go to www.aim.com, and make an account, and my account name is topthatsflat. I think aim competes against aim, so they probably won't add them to the application.

The only problem i have with this app is when i get messages while not in the app, they come up blank!

lol i want to know how to sign out too! im constantly asking my friends if it says im offline or not and they say i didnt sign off! im like wtf

i figured it out sort of... go to settings and click aim. then turn on the "sign off on exit"

He whenever I 'minimize' the app, and I get a message, it's blank. Any help?!

i was really reallly really hopeing that this app would allow me to buddy chat. what a disappointment:(

i cant believe he gave it a 9 out of 10 when the damn app doesnt even work correctly..you have blank messages, no notifications when youre not in the app, no way of signing off with out telling it to sign off every time you close the damn app, no copy and paste,cant send pictures do i need to say more?! i give it 1 out of 10 for a damn effort actually ill take my "1" back considering this is made by a huge corporation i expect more. agile messenger kicks this apps ass!

This app worked great the first time I downloaded it, but it now just keeps crashing on me every time I start it up, I don't even know how many times I've unistalled and reinstalled it, but I finally gave up on using it. Here's to hoping the Adium X dev guys develops Adium X for the phone and touch.

Nice app but I wish that there was a IM for GTalk. I would use that more than this cause all my friends use GTalk.

AIM works every time I setup a fresh installation on my iPod touch and log in for the first time, however once I turn off iPod and/or put it to sleep and click the AIM icon again... I get the image at the bottom for a couple of seconds and then it flashes back to the home screen. How can I fix this? Anyone else having this problem?

and i like this app except for the fact that i have subtle red/green color blindness so the available and away colors get mixed up for me very easily. i wish they looked more like the ones on ichat.

Maybe. Seeing as how AIM took over ICQ, I believe they should be more willing to support it.

you simply have to tip your icq number instead of the screenname :)
