Quick Summary:
AOL Radio is an app similar to Last.fm and Pandora Radio. It has a wide variety of stations to choose from, and you don't need to sign up for an AOL account! Just install from the App Store, right from your iPod or iPhone.

Overview:
There are 4 tabs at the bottom of the screen: Stations, Favorites, Recents, and Locals.
Stations shows you different radio/internet radio stations by Genre and All Stations. The Genres include Rock, Alternative, Classical, Comedy, Country, and Hip Hop/Rap--just to name a few. All Stations has two ways to listen: AOL Radio, and CBS Radio. AOL Radio has more stations that CBS, but both seem to take some time to load, so I tend to not use those stations. There are other stations too that aren't categorized--AOL Recommends (what they recommend), What's New (new stations added), and Spinner.com (most stations are indie; other stations).

Favorites shows all of the radio stations and songs you have favorited. It also allows you to delete your favorite stations/songs if you want to. -To favorite a station, touch the star button in the upper right-hand corner of the station's screen. To favorite a song, touch the little magnifying glass while you're listening to the song, and you can buy it on iTunes, Remember it, or Favorite it. Or, you can go to the recents tab, then touch "songs" at the top of the screen. When the list of previously played songs comes up, hold you finger down on the blue arrow next to the song you want, and touch "remember this song".-

Recents displays radio stations and songs recently played. This is where you can favorite songs.

Locals uses the major city closest to you as a local station. But you can change your local station if you don't like it. Scroll down to view other cities.
