This is a remake of not only a classic game, but a a classic cellular game, bowling. 300 Bowl is not well known partially because it numbers puts it last in the overall list. Alright, let's review!
Price: $3.99
So to start her up, touch the icon on springboard:
25200
When first opened, you will be taken to the main menu screen:
25205
From here, you have 5 options: to begin a new game, to play the game you last left off on, the high scores list, options, and help.
We'll start with New game
Once you tap new game, you are asked how many players:
25204
Then, you are asked for your initials:
25202
Then, once you stare at the blank lane for about ten minutes, you finally figure out that you are supposed to start playing:
25207 25203
25206 25201
The options page has 3 options:
1. Animation
2. Lane Oil
3. Throw difficulty
Overall the game is simple, pure bowling. What separates this from other cell bowling games (besides the touch screen) is the ability to customize spin on the ball just my using your finger. When throwing, if you hook your finger, the ball will hook too.
Controls: 5/5
Addictiveness: 3/5
Interface: 3/5
Price:5/5
Overall: 16/20
This game is fun, but needs a lot of work just to the UI. For what the iphone/ipod is capable of, 300 Bowl could be so much more. But also, I would be hugely disspaointed if this was being sold for $9.99. This is what I am expecting when I play a game i got for less than $5. The developer promises more though, so I am greatly looking forward to the next update!
Thanks for reding!
