I was thinking of trying to make an Internet Explorer skin for the ipod Safari... basically changing the colors and icons. I am in the process of making it and if anyones interested to be my guinea pig and test it out or if theres any general interest please say so..

How do you change the Background of the nav and the top menu part?

haha that's where I am. I don't think its where the safari pngs are, but i havent found it yet. It could be part of a general color scheme.

yeah the pic I uploaded was the default.PNG... It is only the blank that loads up when you open safari. I'll put up the icons I made so far in a bit...

into applications/mobilesafari... still cant find the background color

so changing the color of the default.png doesn't do it??


edit: nevermind. I played quite a bit with the png's throughout the touch. I was able to change the background of the tab screen (where you switch between open websites), and I noticed we can change the download status bar, which is kind of neat. but other than that default png, there aren't any other png's that looks like they could change the window color. I did quite a thorough search.

dang .. thats kool .. il test .. just hit me up .. and your dock .. is that like the windows vista mediaplay dock ? anyways .. i was thinking a vista theme with the vista taskbar look at the left side and the carrier image that would normaly be at the top would be on the right side .. idk how it would be done but maybe you can guide me in the direction of even how to begin that ? thanks

EDIT: heres a pic of it on mine. I changed it to black background so thats why it's all black and the text is funny. Otherwise it would be grey.

There is a sticky called "how to change bars in apps..." I cant give you a direct link right now because I'm on my iPod and I don't think theres a way to copy and paste text. But it shouldn't be too hard to find. And its in the iPod themes section as you could guess.
