Good observation! The buds that come with both the touch and the new nano have the same kind of setup as the iPhone headphones. Volume, Mic, pause, play, next, and back buttons.

no doubt they will be the same chepo ones that they replace every 2 weeks, i prefered the buds that came with my ipod mini atleast they sounded ok, yea they still fell apart but the sound quaility was much better than the ones they use now

The new apple headphones look really nice. $80 bucks though. They work with the new ipods/touch and have controls and a mic, but wont work with the old touch/ipods. I couldn't tell if they come with the new touch/nano or not.

man when i get my touchG2 i am so gonna get that headphone....because i am sure we will be seeing free VoIP apps that wouldnt need waiting for an external modded mic like those from touchmods....it will be REVOLUTIONARY......plus it will enable me to record my college classes without any problem..HEHE so cool then i really wont need to carry my cell phone to college.......

$80/£40 isnt a lot...
Something along $100/£50 is a lot ;)
I might have to try out the headphones, but I dont think the quality will match some major makes such as Bose or Shure

Well, if I was really going to shell out $80 bucks for apple headphones, I think I'd kick in the extra 20+ for some Bose headphones instead.....
