Does anybody else think the event today was kinda dull?

Apple told everybody to cover this event to a further extent. Yet, I didn't find anything very exciting about these announcements. New iPod Touch with minimal features. New iTunes with new Genius and album view add-ons that I will rarely use. New Nanos which I don't really plan on buying because I already own a touch.

Don't get me wrong. I love Apple. But honestly today was over-hyped.

Hyped by...? People only Hyped about the iPod nano 4th Gen. The Event was barely even hyped at all.

I guess I pay more attention to Apple rumors than most?

I didn't see anything crazy that wasn't already rumored to be coming out.

I don't think it was a dud. They released two new devices and an iTunes update. Although a lot of you weren't impressed, I think it was worth having an event to release it rather than just releasing it and advertising it.

I personally thought it was good, but it could of been better.

I liked the release of the Nano, but i agree, it brings nothing new to the table. I preferred the WWDC '08 which i actually watched twice via the podcast it was that good :D.

I was going to go, but had to cancel due to a repair that called in the night before.

I followed it from several liveblogs and posted them to my site, but I'm glad I didn't go - there was nothing really there that "sprang out" at me.

Saved gas, time, and dealing with traffic.

Ya, compared to WWDC it sucked. The anticipation was killing me waiting for WWDC.

apple should have announced 2.0, iphone 3G, Ipod touch 2, and the new nano at the same time.

True that, it seemed that only me and my friend knew about it.

I knew it wouldn't happen yesterday, but I was hoping they'd announce new Macbooks. I'm in the market for getting one right now. I realize nobody was expecting them to, but it was still kind of a bummer. =(

Why would they announce new MacBooks at an obviously iPod related event? Most likely they'll show new MacBooks at MacWorld in January. That seems more likely.

Wow, I even said I (or anyone else for that matter) wasn't expecting them to show them. I was "hoping" they would show them.

What you should've said was this:
"Why would I bother to post a senseless comment trying to make someone look incompetent? Most likely I'm trying to show my douchebag attitude. That seems more likely."

Thank you and good night.

I am not trying to make you look incompetent. But if that is how you feel, then I apologize. But there is no reason in calling me a Douchebag.

I apologize as well. That was a rash thing to say.

Can we be friends now? I don't know what came over me... lol.

I'm being serious, not sarcastic. In case you were wondering. lol
