Just wondering if anyone can tell me if the earphones shipped with the iPod Touch are covered by the year long warranty?

I mean, they are earphones, and earphones are prone to breaking - the thing is i don't think it's my fault because whats wrong with them is that they're unbelievably quiet. Even on full volume in my room (so no traffic noises, no TV noises etc) i can barely hear with them.

they used to be, not sure if they still are, i knw the ones with my ipod mini where covered under warranty, they where awesome earbuds, atucally sounded alright, unlike the naff ones they give us now

I had an issue with mine once and the genius just handed me new ones without even setting up a trouble support ticket. They must get that alot. Though it may be limited to the guy I happened to talk to and not an apple policy.
