[Windows]My USB stick won't show in My Computer.

Hey guys.

When i put my USB stick into my PC, the lights on my stick flash (to show its being loaded) but when i check in My Computer, there is no removable disk connected. Why is this? The USB works on my laptop so it isnt the stick itself. The 'Safely Remore Hardware' icon comes up on the taskbar when it is inserted (like it should). Help?

UK goverment copyright proposal infringes basic human rights

TalkTalk believes that to reduce illegal filesharing, music and film fans must be encouraged back to legal services through education and by making content available in a form and at a price that people find acceptable. TalkTalk�s research shows that over 85% of people think there is not enough legal music and film content available on the Internet at a fair price.
In the meantime TalkTalk makes these pledges to its customers:

Unless we are served with a court order we will not surrender your details to rightsholders. We are the only major ISP to have taken this stance and we will maintain it.
We will continue to fight this draconian legislation as it makes its way through Parliament.
If we are instructed to disconnect your account due to alleged copyright infringement we will refuse to do so and tell the rightsholders we�ll see them in court.

Talktalk seem to have the right idea here. Rights holders just logging an IP of someone who has apparently infringed isn't enough. And disconnecting people without a trial is rediculous. This is definatly a u turn from what the goverment said a few months ago.

Well, my iPod was either lost, or stolen. My dad said he could get me a new 2G 8GB for Christmas, but I told him I wasn't sure. He also said he could possibly get me a lap top. (not sure what kind :P :/) Then, a couple days ago he said I could get a xBox 360 Pro :D which is what I think I'm going to tell him I want. I already have a xBox 360 Arcade(doesn't have a Hard Drive) that's what me and my little step-brother got for Christmas last year, we share it I got the games, Saint's Row, EA Skate, and Tony Hawk's Underground Projects 8. I gave my little step brother my Tony Hawk's Underground Projects 8 or w/e its called game :P because Skate is 10x better. So if I get the xBox 360 Pro it has 2 games that come with it and I have Saint's Row and Skate too! I think I'm going to get the xBox 360 Pro, please give me your suggestions though.

For me, I had a serious speaker problem with my iPod 2g and I searched for help and found this site. I decided to become a member and post a thread just to help me with this problem. I ended up staying after that.

Google reveals Chrome OS!

Looks pretty good. This a list of some of the features:

All apps are web apps
Auto updates to protect from exploits
No need to make user accounts, you use your google account(s) to login
Can detect changes to the OS partition and will auto restore from a clean image if it gets damaged or infected
Will support all the current features of chrome (addons, themes, etc)
Open source and free

Also Google are working with major hardware companies and they said in there announcement that there would be Chrome OS netbooks by the end of 2010 that could boot and be ready to use in less than 4 seconds.

Very interesting.

Install VirtualBox
Extract the chromeos-image file to anywhere using WinRAR
Open VirtualBox
Click "New"
Set the OS type to "Linux" and "Other Linux", click next
Give it about 1/3 of your RAM, click next
Select "use existing hard disk"
Click the open button to the right, then "Add"
Browse to the chromeos image
Click "Finish" then "Start" to boot

Minimum Xbox Live Age?

I was signing up for XBL the other day and as far as I know the minimum age is 13, if you're under that you need parental permission, anyway I entered my DOB (3/12/1995) which makes me 14 in a few weeks and it still says I need parental permission, and I entered my parents emal and stuff and the DOB is stuck at 03/12/1995 and I can't change it :mad: :confused: How do I fix this damn thing?

Another time I said "and he sh*ts it everyday" instead of shoots
Another time our whole class kept on chanting ch**e (if you don't know what I mean, I'm not going to explain) and it was EPIC!!!

There a ton of others but they involve too much explaining so nevermind

well the funnyest thing that has happened to me on a airplane was when i was traveling to Grand Canaria and my brother had some coke in a glass and suddenly there was turbulense and the coke flew out of the glass and landed on the passenger behind him xD

Does anyone else have bad teachers? I have had a couple this year already that are just terrible. In the first half of this semester I had the most ignorant history teacher (maybe person in general) that I have ever seen. He happens to be the head football coach at our school (no wonder why we suck). Anyways, he has practically no common sense or knowledge whatsoever. When talking about history he makes up random and crazy stuff that is completely false. My best friend and I were apparently the only people in our whole class that realized how dumb he was. We had so many empty skulled kids in there and the teacher. One example of his sheer stupidity is when we were talking about conspicuous consumption in large cities in the 1800's. He gave the class an example of this kind of lifestyle and told us that people drove gold-plated limousines. My best friend and I laughed so hard during class and everyone else sat there and believed it. That is one of the more mild occurrences of his incompetence.

Another example is my current Trigonometry teacher. He is short, fat, and balding and I swear he has OCD or something. He talks non-stop for the whole 90 minute period and he makes no sense at all. I find the need to teach myself everything we "learn" in class. That takes up extra time at home plus all of the homework that I have from his class. He stares at the ceiling and floor all the time and shakes his head while twitching and compulsively talking about trigonometric functions but not really explaining them. Today we "learned" the trigonometric unit circle which is pretty complicated for this level. By "learned", I mean: He talked in his crazy style and I went home and spent an extra hour plus trying to teach myself the trigonometric unit scale.

Many middle school students are probably smarter than my history teacher and many are probably more aware of their surroundings than my Trigonometry teacher. So, do any of you guys who are in school have some ignorant, stupid, or annoying teachers? Wow, this is going to be a long year for me.
