Is there a way to fix that? Because it's really pissing me off now.
Did every step like I was suppose to, after step 12 finished this happened. Others have posted about this problem and nobody will help. The computer doesn't recognize the iTouch, nor does iTunes. And it seems to be in DFU mode still (or off) as when I hold the home button and lock button down the same USB Not Recognized error pops up.

No, it's not worth it, but if you really want it, it's not that difficult.

Try reentering DFU mode, then sending the 2.1.1 iBSS again and unplug your device, then wait 10 seconds and plug it back in.

I am running 64bit vista...does that have anything to do with it?
libusb is made for 32-bit operating systems, so yes, it probably does.

I replied to you before, but obviously you didn't try it.
You have to be exact on your DFU timing to get out of this.
After you've done so, follow my reworked step 13.

someone please answer my questions, it'll be greatly appreciated.

1.does the ipod HAVE to be in DFU mode in order to run the iRecovery -f iBSS221.dfu command?

2.does anyone else get the "The system cannot execute the specified program" error?

3.Does the ipod have to be off and then start the 10 second countdown press both home and power-off, then let go of power-off button, keep home button pressed for 15-25 minutes, wait till itunes says something etc... or does it have to be on and then start the proccess? and how exact do you have to be? should I use a timer?

Idk if the OP wants to add this to his post or not, but in vista and w7 (and XP if u have the power toy) instead of opening CMD and CDing everywhere, just hold shift, and right click the folder and click Open Command Window Here.

Ex: if you have a folder called XPWN on your desktop that you wish to open a command prompt to, instead of running CMD and CDing to XPWN, just right click the XPWN icon on the desktop while holding shift and click "Open Command window here"

1. Yes.
2. No idea.
3. Yes, it should be off, then you start the 10 second countdown.

I don't know, Google libusb 64-bit, I really can't help with 64-bit.
I'm using a dual core, but I run 32-bit specifically because of things like this. :P
