Couple questions about winterboard

When i first install it do i have to reboot my ipod which means my jailbroke will be lost since its tethered right?? then do i just rerun blackra1n or what and what is ssh i don't get it and do i need it to get themes or is ssh just to create your own? thanks for help

when you instal winterboard, your device resprings so only the springboard restarts but not the entire device. SSH can be used to install themes if you download them on your pc and it can be used to install themes you made yourself. but there are more advantages to SSH besides themes.

SSH is pretty much just managing the files on your ipod. I think.

Actually, if you want to download winterboard without having to rejailbreak or it messing up, you have to download SBsettings first, and it is activated by swiping the top ipod bar, and when winterboard is done downloading, when it says restart springboard or reboot device, activate sbsettings and press respring, then Winterboard will be there.

Actually, I'm pretty sure it'll ask you to reboot the device.

You can do this, but there is nothing wrong with rebooting. You will just need to run blackra1n and 'make it ra1n' again to turn it back on. You will NOT lose anything, it'll be as if you turned it off and turned it back on.
