My guess is that eliminate doesen't show any backgrounds, becaus the standard maps don't have a place where you can see the world outside!

no, I've already said this a few times in the thread that my iPod is NOT jailbroaken!

I'm going to try to get those maps on my iPod without jailbreaking!

This is what I've done till now:
unziped the eliminate file.
I am now downloading the map pack and will coppy the maps into

C:\Users\[Username]\Music\iTunes\Mobile Applications\EliminatePro 1.0 -\Payload\LiveFire.app\quake3cd-demo\baseq3\maps

then I'll try to get it back to an ipa (zip the files and then rename to .ipa? )
And last of all, I'll hope it works!

Do you think this will work?

Edit: making the .zip folder a .ipa folder is easy: open the .zip with a program like notepad (I used notepad++) and save the file as [appname].ipa!

Edit 2: iTunes is now installing the modifyed version of eliminate on my iPod!

Didn't work!

Das Programm "EliminatePro" wurde nicht auf dem iPod "****'s iPod" installiert, da ein unbekannter Fehler aufgetreten ist (0xE8000051).

Translation:

The Programm "EliminatePro" was not installed on the iPod "****'s iPod", because there was an unknown error (0xE8000051).

Can someone help me here?

i wouldn't zip it, just try to move the Payload catalogue to iTunes

Hey any ideas on how we could get some other gametypes like team deathmatch or ctf?

zipping in a normal won't work
try to get only the payload folder and copy the files on livefire.app
then you just drag the payload folder to the ipa file

Well I have DL it and I don't think it is working yet. But do you think you could make a larger map?

Ok, I tryed coppying the payload file into iTunes, but when iTunes was installing it on my iPod it said that the files where modifyed and it couldn't install them!
