I think in my entire life.. ive had 1 virus, which was about 4-5 years ago back on XP. I ran a program and it removed it.

i have gotten viruses by my friend being a d-bag and hacking my computer and downloading a bunch of porn. but thats the only time i have ever gotten a virus.

Theres your problem. McAfee is a MAJOR resource hog for the half-assed job it does. Personally for best free anti-virus use Avast!, and for paid use eset nod32.

McAfee, Norton, pretty much any antivirus that a computer ships with is useless. They get paid to package it in there.

I have AVG on my laptop. It works well for the price, but i still haven't gotten a virus. I've got Mcafee on my desktop -__-

Just get Kaspersky. Cheap, Best detection rate, least effect on performance.
