Well, I'm planning to get a new one in the summer, or after the October event if there are rumors of updates. But most likely in the summer. And according to Mac Buyer's Guide, the last updates were:
June 2009
October 2008
February 2008
June 2007
So, if anything, the Macbook Pros might be updated February 2010 or I can wait for the October event.

They usually do, but the upgrade is usually only a little bit of an increase in processing power as in maybe a few tenths of a Ghz and sometimes a small GPU or Memory upgrade, and usually there is a slight price drop by $50 to $200.
