my itouch 3g screen has problems?

hi,

recently, my touch has some screen prob. i have no pic but i will explain in detail. ok, so i clicked on an app ( using the touch sideways now) and the intro video was tilted slightly to the right and there were fuzzy white lines horizontaly across the screen. i clicked the home button and now using the touch vertically there was the same white lines horizontally across the screen. so i off and on the touch hoping this would go away. after restarting, they were gone. so whats the prob? is it a virus, software bug, hardware failure or screen was damaged? thanks
