ok so I own a 1G ipdo touch but my friend gave me his ipod touch 2nd Generation to jailbreak, and its currently 2.2.1 firmware. I want to jailbreak to latest software for him but on 3.1 jailbroken can u get 5 icon dock and themes adn stuff? and what would I use to jailbreak? blackra1n?

ok but how can i use blackra1n without an ipsw? I'm on 2.2.1 don't I need to be on 3.1.2 to use blackra1n? iTunes asks to pay to upgrade.

if you're on 2.2.1, you can use Redsn0w to jailbreak.
