Or you can put your iPhone into DFU restore mode.

You just need to activate (or hactivate) it.

First, make sure you have a sim card inside the phone lol, if you do, then you need to unlock your iphone most likely. Connect your iphone to the computer, then hold down to top and home button for 10 seconds exactly, then release the top button and keep holding the home button until you hear your computer make a sound, or your iphone appears in itunes and says you need to restore it. Now restore it to the newest firmware ( 3.1.2 ) in itunes. Once thats done, go to blackra1n.com and download the appropriate file, whether your on windows or mac. Then run the program, and it should jailbreak and activate your iphone. If your iphone is working and you can make calls, then you only needed an activation. If not, go to the second page on the iphone and open the blackra1n app and install cydia and sn0w ( cydia is optional, but you usually want to get it if your jailbroken ) ( sn0w is the tool that is used to unlock your iphone and let you use your sim card from your carrier ).
once its installed, wait a few minutes and your phone should be good to go!

Hey windows7,

A lot of the members on here don't know the fine technicalities of error codes (the number in brackets at the end) as there are literally hundreds I would assume of error messages.

Thing I find that helps the most is a good google search for the whole sentence including the error code at the end will always find results.

Also using the Search Feature on this site is very helpful as well.

General rules of posting on these forums are pretty simple, just follow this protocol:

1. Look on Google -> not found? go to 2.
2. Search Bing, ask jeeves, yahoo etc. Not found? go to 3
3. Use other common search phrases. Still not found? go to 4
4. Search this Site for your problem. Still not found? go to 5
5. Create a thread here, get responses.

In future, do not skip to 5, and welcome to IPTF

Here's a googled link anyway:
