Yeah, pwned on a mac and pwned on a PC is the same thing.

I know, but i was asking if being "Quickpwned" counts to the same level as being Pwned (Through Winpwn or PwnageTool).

I also experienced the same thing. Can't jailbreak both iPod and my iPhone 3G (factory unlocked). No problem with my white MacBook with PwnageTool and QuickPwn. But with new MacBook Pro, no can do. Same error 2001 when you try to plugged in a 'DFUed' iPhone to iTunes.
Apple must have done something with the new 10.5.5? |

It's a new build of iTunes that has something changed to not accept the iPod/iPhone when it is in DFU mode. It's the same iTunes version, just a different build.

anyway, i'm trying to jailbreak my ipod 1g using a brand new macbook pro. No luck for now: i got "error 20" trying to use a custom software with itunes and a black screen or never changing logo with quickpwn. I'll probably end up with my ibook, but that's not a good thing.

I got error 21 (with 2.2 jailbreak). I just deleted Pwnage Tool and the custom firmware it made (basically delete all traces you can of the downloaded pwnage tool and stuff). Then i just redownloaded Pwnage tool and did it all over again. It worked greatly.
