Jailbreaking Firmware 2.2 / 2.2.1 with QuickPwn
WINDOWS TUTORIAL
This is for the original iPod touch, not 2nd-generation.

Running Firmware 2.2.1? Follow this exact same guide but instead, you'll need the QuickPwn version that supports the 2.2.1 firmware. Get it at the bottom of THIS BLOG POST.


PROBLEM SOLVING:

Getting the error ""Application failed to initalize (000x30x)"? Get .NET Frameworks 3.5.

If you're getting stuck at "Uploading exploit bootloader" then follow this:

I. Restore iPod in iTunes
II. When prompted, do not load settings from an old backup or setup as a new iPod
III. Exit iTunes
IV. Run QuickPwn, things should work

Before following these steps, make sure you have installed QuickPwn 2.2 for Windows on to your computer. You can download QuickPwn 2.2 from the link below:

After opening QuickPwn 2.2, follow these steps:

Should I have a fresh install of 2.2 on my Ipod before I jailbreak? Also, does NES, Catagories, bosstool,and Five Icon Dock work nicely with 2.2. thanks
