Default Fun with iPod touch errors and warnings

Our members seem to have a passion for snooping around the iPod touch firmware more than most (they are true fans after all), so its not surprise that they've come across some interesting warning messages. Pictured above by Stephen.4 is an interesting new performance error, and "Totally 1337" found a very strange error message while digging around through some settings files:
Code:
 <key>THERMAL_ALERT_STRING</key>
<string>iPhone needs to cool down before you can use it.</string>
We can't help but wonder what possible usage case the firmware developers were thinking about when they decided to put that warning in . Have you come across any unusual errors or warnings on the iPod touch?

haha, that is very cool
I have encountered the first error message, but seriously, what could heat up an iPod to the oint where you need a warning label, and since when does the iPod have a heat sensor?

Most processors these days have internal sensors to turn off the processor when it overheads. The OS can usually query the internal sensor as well.

I actually researched the thermal sensor thing and one person said that it was used for sensing touch on the touchscreen, and also when they left it on their dashboard of their truck for too long, they actually got the thermal sensor warning!

EDIT: ok i was a little off, i dont think he actually got the message.

From ModMyI.com

Also, to go along with the "Fun with Error messages" theme....

I used the mod to get the streetview on my touch, but got this weird message!

hehe
