Default iPod touch/iPhone alphanumeric based passcode unlock

ok. so with help from Avatarv i have made this little guide to getting a keyboard based passcode unlock for your iPod touch/iPhones!

no jailbreak necessary!

you basically are creating your own enterprise profile. you can get the iPhone configuration utility and the pdf readme from apple here.

its pretty clear what to do with it once you get it, but just in case, heres how i did it.

create a new configuration profile, and configure it how you would like your iphone to be configured. all i wanted to do to mine was allow the use of the keyboard for unlocking, so thats all i did. you can do much more. after configuration, share the configurated file to yourself via email. open the attached file on your iphone and you should get a screen like this

install profile and you will be taken to your new passcode creation station!
you can remove any installed profiles in settings.
after you remove the profile, create a normal 4-number passcode and turn that off. this resets your passcode.

EDIT: thehitman made it easier for those who dont wanna use the utility config, here's the file for direct download

That's pretty cool! Didn't that emergency call button have something to do with the security flaw that Gizmodo found on FW 2.0.1 or 2.0.2?

Well, in windows you cannot "share via e-mail". You first have to export the file somewhere, then send it. Other than that, it works perfectly. Just one question though... How do I uninstall it if I want to?

EDIT: I found it. Can my password work only on startup, and not when I want to unlock it?
