This is probably the only way to fix this problem, point is it worked for me.
Note: Before starting this tutorial please confirm you're iPod is in DFU, you can enter DFU by using a timer and holding down Home and Power together for 7 seconds, then let go of Power and continue holding Home for another 7 seconds. Download this: http://www.2shared.com/file/4779652/9a7e51cd/iBoot.html This zip should contain the following files: iBSS211.dfu iBoot221pwn.img3 libusb0.dll iBSS221pwn.dfu iRecovery.exe pwn211ibss.txt <> This is just for offline purposes, i.e. you can't browse to this forum to copy & paste the arm7_go commands. Extract iBoot.zip to your desktop, open cmd cd to the folder, if your XP you should be able to cd to it easily by typing: cd desktop cd iboot irecovery -f ibss211.dfu Now unplug and replug your iPod, the screen should turn white, if it doesn't please redo this tutorial from the start, make sure it's in DFU. irecovery -s arm7_stop mw 0x9000000 0xe59f3014 mw 0x9000004 0xe3a02a02 mw 0x9000008 0xe1c320b0 mw 0x900000c 0xe3e02000 mw 0x9000010 0xe2833c9d mw 0x9000014 0xe58326c0 mw 0x9000018 0xeafffffe mw 0x900001c 0x2200f300 arm7_go arm7_stop /exit irecovery -f ibss221pwn.dfu irecovery -s go /exit irecovery -s setenv auto-boot true saveenv /exit irecovery -f iboot221pwn.img3 irecovery -s go /exit Your iPod should boot to home screen, then Go to Setting > General > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings Confirm you want to erase twice. Now I strongly recommend you to leave you're iPod plugged in while erasing so the battery doesn't die. When it's done open iTunes (with your iPod plugged in) and SHIFT+CLICK Restore to browse for the OFFICIAL IPSW. Once you've done all that you're iPod shouldn't have anymore problems, and you can redo the whole jailbreak process. Mods: Please sticky this, I think it'll stop many of the threads about this problem. yes, all that is correct. i don't know what could be the problem. does it matter if it was in restore mode and then i put it in dfu mode?

![]() And yes I know erasing is a long and boring process, I've had to do it 3 times know... 2/3 times were because iTunes messed up my iPod, turning all my music into Other :P. Last time was when I got this error. |
