SSH is remote I/O protocol, this means it send keyboard key pressing and your mouse clicks to server and it send text terminal as output, so in other words ,it basic remote control of system terminal via network. Thanks to SFTP protocol expansion it also allow to transfer and manipulate files inside the remote server, this function is mainly used in iPoT and this is what all kids here use to call SSHing
