For mac users: Start rslite, type !iBSS211.dfu the screen becomes white type setenv boot-path /System/Library/Caches/com.apple.kernelcaches/kernelcache.s5l8720x reconnect your iPod (I had to do that) than restore to 2.2.1 |

I think after typing !iBSS211.dfu, you have to unplug and replug your iPod touch.

No, you don't. You only have to do that in windows, not on a mac!

It's for any way that you got your iPod in recovery mode. Most common way of people doing this is trying the semi-tethered

My ipod touch is stuck in recovery mode after trying semi-tethered jailbreak and i have tried many things to get it out. I followed all your instructions and after updating to 2.2.1 it is still stuck in recovery. Here is what I did:
