It will definitely be part of the next firmware spin cycle though. It's just as bulletproof as the pwnage for iPhone 1G/3G and iPod Touch 1G.

So wait, is this a fully untethered jail-break? Meaning we can actually re-boot the iPod Touch, shut it down and such without any complications? If so, honestly, I need a tutorial. I just got done restoring my jail-broken iPod touch 2G and it was a mess to do it all.
