[Tethered to Untethered] No Restore!

Here's a simple way to go from tethered to untethered in a few easy steps.

Credit: Patched LLB is the original Chronic Dev image, hand patched by pod2g and posixninja. The payload is by planetbeing, iRecovery is courtesy of westbaer and tom3q. A lot of hard work was put into this by chronic, ius, and cpich. and of course MuscleNerd worked on making it more user friendly.

posixninja from the Chronic Dev Team made this script, so all credit goes to him.

Some Troubleshooting

First download greengr4ss from here: http://drop.io/ao3zehf#

1.) Now that you've downloaded untethered.txt and greengr4ss.zip. Unzip greengr4ss to your desktop. Open the cmd.exe that you extracted.

2.) Now this is from untethered.txt. Put your iPod in DFU mode.

From original Tethered:

perform tethered jailbreak on ipod if you haven't already

iRecovery -f ibss211.dfu

unplug, replug, white screen

iRecovery -s

/sendfile ibss_arm7_exploit.bin

arm7_go

arm7_stop

/sendfile illb_221_24kpwn.img3

bdev read nor0 0x18900 0x80000 0x08000000

bdev write nor0 0x2c100 0x80000 0x08000000

bdev write nor0 0x8000 0x24100 0x09000000

reboot

From run rs:

iRecovery -f ibss211.dfu

unplug, replug, whitescreen

iRecovery -s

/sendfile ibss_arm7_exploit.bin

arm7_go

arm7_stop

/sendfile illb_221_24kpwn.img3

bdev read nor0 0x42214 0x90000 0x08000000

bdev write nor0 0x18914 0x90000 0x08000000

bdev read nor0 0x18900 0x90000 0x08000000

If you did it right, your iPod should boot.

i'm trying things by myself since the annoucement but i think i broke something loll

i can't even restore it back to the same nor-only i did from your second tutorial... error 14 it said. nooo, i guess i have to full restore if your ipsw won't work =/
