Default [Brief] Metal Detect Pro

For the iPhone 3GS users out there, here's a quick 3 minute video review of this new "phenomena" of metal detector apps designed especially for the iPhone 3GS.

The apps do work on ferocious metals like Iron and Steel, so put your iPhone near your computer and you'll get your hard drive and other metally bits.

Many people on the reviews are complaining that this doesn't work with their iPhone 3G? (morons )

It doesn't work on most coins, as you can see from the video, as they're the wrong type of metal.. So there goes my Summer plans of crawling across the beach with my iPhone in the sand looking for a gold dubloon or two.

Here's the video and links to the only three metal detector apps I'm aware of at the moment. Tell me what you think of them here!

Metal Detector Pro (FREE): http://itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/M...320379597&mt=8

Metal Detector ($1): http://itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/M...320859965&mt=8

Magnetic Field Detector ($1): http://appshopper.com/link/magnetic-field-detector

This hasn't been classed as a "metal detector" by the dev. Its main purpose is to find the X, Y and Z values of nearby magnetic fields - However, the free app (first on the list) also has dials for the XYZ field

If you watch the end(ish) of the vid when it's finished uploading, I turn the sensitivity all the way up and it does a fair job of finding the inside of my macbook from 2 feet away.
