Black Ra1n RC2 now supports tethered jailbreak 3gs (new iboot)
Geohot just released RC2 which now supports the newest Iphone 3gs with the new Iboot. Though this is a tethered jailbreak it is a jailbreak never the less and I can say it is working great!!!
When running you may need to run blackra1n twice. Once to jailbreak and one to reboot when at the itune plug in screen!!!

I didn't check my iboot, but my serial number is 941 meaning it would have the new iboot? Anyway, I can reboot my device even though I'm not at the computer.

Not really a big deal. Use blackra1n RC 2 until there is a full jailbreak and be sure not to power it off. Untethered will be out soon. Just a matter of time.

So what? There are some of us that depend on unlocked iPhone 3gs and would give big bucks to have even a tethered unlock...but we don't. We can't use our phones at all for now. We've been waiting for about 2 months for 3gs 5.11.07 unlock and we still don't have it, but we might...soon!
