Default Another Debate: iPad vs. Microsoft Courier

I decided to make another "Great Debate" thread, except this one is actually a pretty fair debate.

The HP Slate vs. iPad Debate was destined to fail since the two OSs were so dissimilar.

The Notion Ink Adam vs. iPad Debate was a little more interesting. It pitted the Android OS against the iPhone OS. But still, it didn't work quite as planned.

This is the real deal. Microsoft announced this product a while ago but recently released a couple amazing videos to Engadget and well, this is definitely the most inspired and most original OS I've ever seen, and by far the greatest thing to come out of Microsoft in the last oh decade or so.

Watch the videos before you comment:

It looks quite good, but I don't like that it can close from my experiences with devices like these -- the hinges tend to wear out

Yeah, true, but at least it protects the screens. I'd rather have bad hinges than a messed up screen.

With hinges you will end up with a messed up screen. Hinges usually have wires connecting both screens. Continuous use of the hinges will stress the wires/connections disrupting the screen. You'll end up with a white screen. Only way Microsoft can avoid that problem is use a wireless connection between two screens, but that will probably affect the battery life

So? And it's looking like it's not just a concept anymore. Engadget reported a 2010 release...

Wow thats really really nice. id say the Courier is more of an office and college product.
And of course, iPad is just for entertainment with all other purposes.

I'm just gonna wait until one or the other comes out, and we know one is already scheduled to come out. The Courier is still just a prototype. The debate is kinda meaningless since to since the iPad won't be out until April and the Courier is questionable at best.
