If those Mac Pros get the new Gulftown 6 core i7's supposed to be released Tuesday, then prices will be even more ridiculous then they are now.

Also, not seeing any reason the Macbooks and MBP should not be switched over to the i-series processors by now, as most of the competition has already.

But I gave the high ends a 200-400 price drop but also added a quad core and a 1GB 9800 GTS. great improvement from 2.8 c2d and 512 mb 9600gt.

OH CRAP. i was going to add 6GB RAM for the 2.66 ghz version and better, but i forgot.

Doubt they will drop the prices if they are adding in newer hardware. Price alone of the i7-980x itself is ~$999 US. The i-series isn't really going to change the monetary price of the hardware as Apple will still overcharge. We can only hope for a reasonable pricing on their hardware.
