Default HOW-TO: Best way to read pdf file

The best way to load and read is to install Apache from community resources that comes with installer.app. Once installed, open safari browser, and type: http://localhost/.
If the Apache is properly installed it will open a html file with some informarion. Now use winscp or ftp program to /media_sys/library/webserver/documents/. Here you put all your pdf files, and delete index.html file in that folder. Now open safari browse, and type: http://localhost/ . You can seee now all your files. tap any file, it'll be open on the browser without any problem.

UPDATE: Here is the PDF.app that you unzip and put in the /Applications directory, and chmod 755 all files including the folder. And restart your iPot. You will see a pdf icon on the dashboard. Once you tap this it'll open the safari browser at http://localhost/. Remember, you need to install Apache to use this application.

Download link: PDF.app

I used the following web application on this site to create this app file: http://jonsthoughtsoneverything.com/iphone_apper/
You can also create your own.

Of course it works without wifi access. This is because you're not connecting to any external server, you're connecting to your own server (that is, Apache). And all the pdf docs you load in your server folders, so safari can load files from the internal server. I'm using this method, and read the pdf docs without any problem.

it works! But I realize the PDFs are taking up the same left over 20MB that is allocated to installer. Any way to shift it into the iPod touch's main memory?
