do you have terminal or ssh?

You are out of space.

open terminal and type df -h. Let me know what you see.

I bet you have no space left. Delete some apps, and then move the applications folder to the media partition, and make a symlink in its place.

Are you on the touch?

I have heard you can also use bosstool ver 34a.

If you are on a mac, use ssh.

Here are the commands that you need to run:

cd /
mv Applications Applications_
mkdir /private/var/Applications
ln -s /private/var/Applications /Applications
cd /Applications
cp -R /Applications_/* .
rm -r /Applications_

After running these commands, you may also encounter installer "main script errors." This is due to incorrect ownership of the installer.app folder. To fix this error run these commands:

cd /Applications
chmod +s Installer.app/Installer
chown -R root:wheel Intaller.app

This should clear up any problems you are having.

You really need to find a way to run these commands. You should find a way to ssh into your ipod. I wouldnt personally do it from terminal because the latest version doesnt have a working backspace and you only get one shot... cant run an application when you are in the middle of moving it!

iPod touch 16GB
3.0
you might be out of space and yeah 3gigs does not mean you have space cause there is 2 hard drives i think and try the boss tool first then if it is not working then you can try that ssh thing if not then jailbreak again and use the boss tool
