Charging for first time.

Hey guys i just got the 16gb this morning and im loving it so far. Btw when u first got ur ipod touch did u charge it for 24 hours? Or how long did u charge for?

mine came fully charged. first charge took about 2 hours form a dead battery

Mine came about 80% charged. I don't know how long it took to charge, but I do know that you don't need to time it or anything, because it doesn't matter how long its conected, it cannot overcharge itself or anything like that. Just plug it in, unplug, whatever, do what you want

okay and also its really weird cuz at the top right of the screen it says the battery is fully charged but on the slide to unlock screen it says it only like 80% charged. Also its kinda weird since i bought it today and its still version 1.1.1. Is that a good thing or bad thing? Cuz i heard its easier to jailbreak when its 1.1.1.

It's in 1.1.1? Thats really, really weird. How much did you pay for it? And where did you buy it?

I charged mine right when I got it. I think you're supposed to, rather than messing with it right away. I didn't wait 24 hours though maybe like 3 or 4 hours until it was fully charged.

it depends if jailbreak it cause 1.1.1 is the easiest

Umm i live in australia so... I bought it for $474 Australian Dollars at Tandy. Yea weird hey? But i rekon its good cuz i dont have to downgrade it and do all this stuff.

Good for jailbreak. But that is very weird because all new iPod Touch models have 1.1.3.

u idiot!!! go return it!!! they sold u a very old ipod for an expensive price. OMFG!!!!!!! buy it from Apple.com or Bestbuy
