On Engadget they were saying that due to no (noticeable) new features, and large file size, 1.1.4 is most likely just paving the way for the SDK.

Well I'm not much of a developer but I've had a look in the 1.1.4 package and there seem to be new RAM disk images. Which could be a problem. Could someone with more knowledge confirm this?

iPod touch
2.2 jailbroken
if the file is that big to download, it could be preping the ipod for something...i herd SDK is just for developers, but not for public...1.1.4 has to have some sorta connection to the SDk....but i cant wait anymore...could be another month or soo..??

Are you guys nuts? All Apple firmware updates ares huge! Instead of only changing some bits, they change ALL system files. It have been this way since 1.1.1! The size says NOTHING about the update.

Right now, using Zibri's keys, I'm comparing both firmwares. I will come back later (maybe tomorrou, since I'm in Brazil and I will sleep soon) with some news. I already have some news, but I will hold to myself until futher research.
