A real 16GB ZiPhone Jailbreak Solution (With Video)

The way I found to get around the BSD root error is as follows:

Working from a just restored unnamed by iTunes (although I doubt it matters) 1.1.4 firmware.

I launched ZiPhone and instead of clicking on Jailbreak once I started clicking on jailbreak many times and kept clicking on it until the iPod was at the BSD root part. At this point it continued and I closed ZiPhone before it finished.

Feel free to doubt this method because I know I would but please give it a try and please report back so others may also potentially benefit from this.

Yes I can say this works great. I'm on it now. Thank you. Even though I will most likely restore tomorrow for the SDK and/or Dev Team JB

Can confirm it worked on my pre-macworld 16gb with Summerboard, Customize, SSH, and all others apps I use working. And all purchased music and videos. I restored mine on my mac and then used Ziphone on my laptop with XP. After I did the jailbreak I sync back to my mac and all is well!

weird. is this supposed to work with all 16gb ipod touches? I have a first generation and i pressed the jailbreak button so many times and it still came up with the bsd error.

what did i do wrong?

Try again, its possible its still based on luck to some extent just much better odds or something.

This is more of a work around than a true solution come to think of it but hopefully it will pave the way to a proper fix.

can someone pm me a link to the 1.1.3 software. I need to downgrade to get the January apps. They will carry over to the 1.1.4 but I cannot get the apps (free) when I'm in 1.1.4

Yes you can. The apps are in installer under Tweaks 1.1.4. Also, they will not carry over if you didn't buy them.
