Default erm..WTF Help

right i have ubuntu 8.04 dual botted with windows. Up untill now ubuntu has been booting fine, but when i click it from the boot menu it comes up with this weird thing, something about commands, it has a small bit of writing and a part of it is to type 'help' for more commands.

So WTF is going on, and how the hell do i get rid of it.

I hate dual booting, if you REALLY want windows on your computer use virtual box (http://www.virtualbox.org) or VMWare. But, if you want to continue dual booting so you get the full experience of both of the Operating Systems, continue doing so. However, you will encounter problems most likely.
