Not possible. There is no USB library for it.
The only way you can sync an Apple based media player via third party software is if you can have access to the directory that houses iTunes_control and a bunch of other stuff. Since the iPod Touch and iPhone doesn't work as a storage device (which in turn doesn't grant you access to them via USB), there's no way to do it.
Until someone releases something similar to libusb that was written by cmw for winpwn, and port it over to linux, there's no way to do it via USB.
