Star Wars: The Force Unleashed Coming to iPhone and iPod Touch

As excited as many are about the newest game from LucasArts, THQ is proud to announce Star Wars: The Force Unleashed on the iPod Touch and iPhone! The game is different on many levels graphically and its control scheme. For one thing, it is 2D instead of 3D, but it doesnt look half bad.



Control scheme wise, you dont actually get to make your character walk around, instead you reflect the lasers enemies fire at you with timed and angled swipes of the finger and activating force powers that throw or electrocute by drawing symbols on the screen.

It sounds simple, but it gets complex and the soundtrack will be identical to the PS3 and Xbox versions. The game can be played in BOTH portrait and landscape mode without any stretching. A compelling storyline is to follow and promises 2.5 to 3 hours of gameplay.



The game hits the App Store in September at the same time as the Xbox and PS3 versions are released.

It doesn't sound like a good game, but i'm probably being too quick to judge. Seems to me the people who made Star wars : The force unleashed are making it for every platform possible.

I'm mad at how this game would be better if it added tilt controls to move the character.

I'm not a big fan of Star Wars(the new ones anyway).
So I probably will not be getting this one.

You're right that it's probably going to be expensive as they can milk all Star Wars fans, but for only 2.5-3 hours, that's nothing to brag about.
Doesn't even seem like it would be worth more than $5 for only 2-3 hours of gameplay...

Maybe 2-3 hrs of speedrun (finish the game as fast as you can).
But I'm not buying it especially b/c it's 2d.
