[How To] Jailbreak 2.0 with WinPWN

I am going to share with you how to easily get 2.0 on your iPod Jailbroken even if you are running Windows. Here are some things you will need.

• 1.1.4 Firmware File
• Custom 2.0 Firmware File
• iPod Touch
• or iPhone
• Windows Computer
• Latest Version of WinPWN (Not 2.0 b/c it doesn't exist =P)
• iTunes Setup for Version 7.5 AND 7.7

Step 1: Be sure you are on freshly restored 1.1.4 firmware
Step 1a: Downgrade to iTunes 7.5
Step 2: Open WinPWN

Step 3: Click on "Browse IPSW" and locate the 1.1.4 firmware file

Step 4: Run iPwner on firmware 1.1.4

After your iPod has been PWNED:
Step 5: Upgrade iTunes to Version 7.7
Step 6: Go to iTunes, and shift+Click to restore to custom firmware 2.0
**Please Note**
The only way to get Custom Firmware 2.0 is if you have a Mac...I suggest going to a friends house or telling your friend that owns a mac to make the Custom Firmware for you.

this WILL NOT work with latest 2.0 as they changed the firmware from img2 (which winpwn is based on) to img3.

you will need a mac to make firmware first with pwnage tool 2.0

Your just browsing to find the 1.1.4 firmware. That is so you can run iPwner.
Then you must obtain a 2.0 custom firmware file from somewhere...

If the only way to get the custom firmware is to do it at a friends house with a mac, why wouldnt you just do the whole jailbreak process there.

Because maybe your friend has an iPhone or iPod Touch, made a custom firmware, and then can send it to you.

I would also rather Pwn at my own house and have the custom firmware available to my disposal rather then them having the custom firmware and if they don't own an iPhone/iPod Touch or don't want to jailbreak it, have them delete it

ok so i got 1.1.4 and i cant restore at all so damn only i can restore to 2.0 wtf

you can jsut restore straight to the custom firmware. I skipped the winpwn 1.1.4 part and it worked fine upgrading from a standard unhacked 1.1.4
